Windows 7 Trend Client Crash over Desktop UI

Post by maherhodali »

Hello Everyone,

I'm using Windows 7 (As a Workstation) as desktop UI.

In Trend component, i'm trying to drag and drop data points from para to trend component, unfortunately; it always causes the application and desktop UI to collapse !, While using the same over windows 10 and everything seems working fine.

Are there some sort of special installations for Windows 7 to fulfill the requirements for such cases in WinCC OA ?. noting that we installed the same .Net framework used in windows 10 over 7 and the issue remains.

Any recommendations ?

Regards
Maher

Can you please add the information which WinCC OA version and patch you are using.
Maybe the version is different on your machines and therefore it only occurs on Windows 7.

Please do an upgrade to the newest patch P012 for WinCC OA 3.16 and check afterwards if the problem still occurs.

I have tested it on Windows 7.
If I do a simple drop of a dp element to the trend and do a connectDirectly for the dp element no problem occurs.

Maybe you can provide a simple test panel where the problem occurs.
