Hi experts,
I am facing an issue of installing the license using dongles and the corresponding shield files.
The steps that we have followed are:
1) starting Wibuserver.
2) put the dongle in a random USB port.
3) Check that wibuserver has detected the installed wibubox.
4) Copy the shield.txt file to "C:\Siemens\Automation\WinCC_OA\3.16" directory.
5) Started wincc oa.
However it seems that the license is not detecting.
Note : in the shield file Wincc OA version is 3.16 patch 2 , but we are dealing with Wincc OA 3.16 patch 1 and patch 3 which The license didn't work on both of them.
Please help me to solve this issue...

Re: Dongle Licensing Issue
In the shield file there is no information for the patch level saved.
The last character only defines internal information how to read the hw code.
Please check in the Project Administration if the dongle is read correctly. As hostname you should get the information "dongleHost" if the dongle is detected.
