Hello together,
we encountered a problem in one of our projects where the alert rows on several of our workstations gets out of sync after some time and we don't understand what causes this issue. The alert row just stops updating and shows alarms which are long gone or acknowledged already.
If you try to acknowledge alarms from this alert row, you get the error message "Acknowledge only possible at running screen". At the moment, only restarting the UI helps to solve the error temporarily.
Have you experienced this behavior before?
If you need additional information, please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
moTo

Re: [3.14] Alert row on Workstations out of sync
Please check the PVSS_II.log file on the server and client machines.
Possibly you can find entries which refer to log messages written by the AESRow functionality.
If you know when the AESRow stopped updating you can also look at the log files if you find entries which can be the cause.
Is the system redundant and/or distributed?

Thanks for your answer!
The system is redundant, but we have no configuration set that a workstation shall only be connected to one server.
Do you have an assumption what might be the root cause for this issue?
Thanks and with best regards

If the system is redundant the problem possibly occured during a redundancy switch.
If you know when the AESRow stopped working you can check if a redundancy switch occured at this time.

Re: [3.14] Alert row on Workstations out of sync
Dear Leo,
thanks for your hint, we are working with a redundant system. However, we experience this problem also when no switchover happens, mainly on the first workstation (even a restart of the UI does not fix the problem). Is there anything else we can check to find the root cause for this issue?
Thanks and with best regards

I have a similar problem. The workstations have multiple screens and once in a while the alarm row freezes in one of them. I don't think it is going to stop mode because I don't receive the error message when acknowledging the alarms, but nothing happens.
I also have a redundant system but I could not link this issue to a redundancy switch.
