Does a WinCC OA driver verify data transmission?

A WinCC OA driver uses the mechanisms of the underlying transmission protocol (e.g. TCP/IP) to verify if data has been successfully transmitted to a target device. It does not check if data has been written correctly to the device.

In cases where the transmission does not trigger an immediate response but verification is necessary (e.g. if values are written to a PLC register) the calling application must read back the data to verify that the transmission was successful.
