We have a project where we are presented with the following error:

severe, 69, database error, DataMan task, dbError, RAIMA database error *** Code: -909 (SYSTEM / OS error: -909
File registration limit exceeded
C errno = 0: no error
File: D: /Workspaces/Workspace/ExternLibs/rdm45/runtime/Dio.c (2096)

severe, 69, database error, AlertCacheItem, flush, Code: 101

and when we are going to make queries to the database they do not respond; the only option to "Unblock the database" is to turn the project off and on again.

Any suggestions to solve the error.

or a possible cause for this error to occur.

I guess your RAIMA is full and thus blocking everything.

If the Data Manager is using a lot of CPU time probably there are no fileset switches made in the alarm database.
The al + number directory with the highest number is probably very big.

Please check the filesizes and the record count with the FAQ Alexandre has mentioned.
