Hi,
I am trying to install V3.15 P006 on RedHat Linux V 7.2 (Enterprise 64 bit).
I have
- installed Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (CentOS / RedHat only)
- imported public.key file
But still I am unable to install it from yum install. I have also tried doing
yum install *.rpm
I am getting error that Required :SDL
Please refer to attached screen shot.
I am not sure which SDL is required? Can any one help my please.
Thanks
Ilyas.

Hello,
Typically the dependencies are resolved and installed automatically.
In your case it seems you do not have a valid subscription for RHEL:
The system is not registered to Red Hat Subscription Management...
Register your RHEL system and try again.

Morning ILYAS AHMED,
We have installed in RedHat 7.3 and we needed the following libraries:
- SDL-1.2.15-14.el7.x86_64
- libotr-4.1.1-1.el7.x86_64
If the dependencies are not resolved automatically we need to download those libraries.
Of course as Andreas said, you need to register your linux.

By installing packages manually you might break the complete update-functionality of your whole operating system. You might run into problems in the future.
If you do not register your RHEL installation and use the package functionality of it, it is highly recommended to use CentOS instead of RHEL.

Hi Andreas,
Yes you are right. I will register and give it try one more time.
One question about CentOS , Can I used RDB / Oracle clusters with CentOS? As per Siemens ST80 for Wincc OA v 3.14 . RDB is not supported for CentOS.
Thanks a lot.
Ilyas.

Thank you for the info.
The main reason for this is because Oracle does not support these operating systems:
https://docs.oracle.com/database/122/LA ... -linux.htm
As CentOS and RHEL are basically the same, at least for development machines I do not see a real problem going with CentOS from a technical point of view.

Hi,
So this means that RDB Manager for CentOS might be supported as CentOS and RHEL are same. I haven't tested it with CentOS, but I will try. I prefer CentOS.
Thanks for your help and support.
Best Regards,
Ilyas.

It means that the RDB manager should work on CentOS. But since Oracle does not support it, we also cannot (officially) support it.
