Custom manager vs API interface license

Post by kuzma »

Hello,

Licensing question - what license should we use for our own API manager implementation - WinCC OA Custom Manager license (6AV6351-1EM31-6AA0) or API interface license (6AV6351-1EK31-6AA0)?
I think we had always used API license but what is the difference? When should custom manager license be used?

custom manager sounds like (freekey / freekeyvalue) license option for shield

but im not sure. usually you use the API license.

Hello,

the API interface license allows you to use our API interface.
The custom driver and custom manager license is required to start a self written driver/manager in your WinCC OA project.

Daniel
