Upgrade PVSS v3.1 to WinCC OA v3.18

What is the recommended approach to upgrade a PVSS v3.1 project to WinCC OA v3.18?

Is it possible to directly upgrade to v3.18? Or should we do the upgrade in several steps?
Like for instance upgrade from v3.1 to v3.7 to v3.14 to v3.18?

To test the upgrade process I have tried to upgrade the project from 3.1 to 3.7 but unfortunately the upgrade process takes too long (since I don't have a v3.7 license).
Furthermore I have tried to upgrade the project from v3.1 to v3.14, but this stops at the conversion of the lastval DB.

So, should it be possible to upgrade a v3.1 project using the build-in upgrade functionality? Or should we upgrade the project manually? And if so whats steps do we need to take in that case?

Probably a direct upgrade from 3.1 to 3.18 will work if a valid license is installed.
If a upgrade from 3.1 to 3.18 is possible from a technical point of view depends on the configuration of the project running version 3.1, e.g. the used type of archiving, the used languages, ....

ETM offers also the possibility for a project review by the Consulting Team. During the project review possible issues during the upgrade can be identified.

Could you please tell how to contact WinCC OA support? By using the Siemens portal?
We have previously asked our Siemens (WinCC OA) sales contact, but unfortunately we didn't get the desired information.
