Database has not been repaired - shutdown initiated

Post by EER »

Hi,

I encouter some problems with the database after the database manager is killed (forced reboot or powerloss).
The project is created using PVSS 3.6-SP2 and has been upgraded to WinCCOA 3.18.

When the data manager is killed and restarted with the

Code: Select all

-repair on
argument it fails as shown in the logs:

Code: Select all

....
....

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this. I wanted to try

Code: Select all

PVSStoolRepairDb
but this tool seems to be removed from the new WinCCOA release.

Please take into account that WinCC OA needs to be stopped properly before shutting down the computer. This needs to be done to ensure that the WinCC OA database and also other parts of the system do not get damaged.
In a plant environment it is recommend to use a UPS.

There is no guarantee that the WinCC OA project can be started if a loss of power occured. Sometimes it can happen that the database is damaged and cannot be repaired anymore.
In such a case you have to install a backup of the database.

Information for the Operating Conditions for WinCC OA you can find in the WinCC OA Documentation:
https://www.winccoa.com/documentation/W ... tions.html

During the renaming of PVSS to WinCC OA all executables have been renamed. Therefore, you cannot find the tool PVSStoolRepairDb anymore. The new name is WCCOAtoolRepairDb.
