OPC UA XML model

Post by johanningmann » Thu Jan 14, 2021 12:38 pm

Hello,
we using WinCCO OA 3.16 P 16 and starting to setup an OPC A Server.
To create the view structure there are two options available by WinCCOA via Datapoint Group or CNS. Is some of you aware if it also possible to use an xml model which can be imported by WinccOA to create the view?

pretty much like the Siome by Siemens

Hello,

no, an OPC UA Companion Specification cannot be imported. However, you can read in the XML and create data point types, data points and a CNS view via script.

Hello,
yes, that's what we figured out in the meantime as well.
Thanks a lot for the reply.

Kind regards,

Hi Kilian or Mr. Knipp or anybody else..:),
another question.
How do we create an OPC UA device model (AddressSpace) “method”? Doesn’t seem to be available in the Plantmodel, is there another way to do this?

See this:

Kind regards,
Frank
