Re: How to reduce a project to the minimum size?

In the WinCC OA database and the project there are no *.bk files existing. The log files can be deleted without any negative effect on the project. For all other files, especially in the db folder you really need to know which can be deleted or not. If files, which are needed to start the project, a...

Re: how to get / display the system data of CPU and Memory Usage into WinccOA

To get The memory usage (used/free KB) for the complete system you can use the "Memory Check" in WinCC OA. For details please have a look at the System Management and the Documentation. The CPU usage cannot be read in WinCC OA. Do you need the information for the whole system or particular...

Re: Is it possible to migrate the winccoa 3.12 to 3.17 ????

Yes, it is possible to migrate project from WinCC OA 3.12 to 3.17. How to upgrade a project is described in the WinCC Documentation: https://www.winccoa.com/documentation/WinCCOA/3.18/en_US/Pmon_Consolepanel/Pmon_Consolepanel-19.html For the upgrade you have order new licenses for WinCC OA 3.17. Re: S7+ Driver not setting invalid bits when unable to resolve symbolic address

Possibly when using In/Out addresses the invalid bits are set by another function in the driver.
I am not sure if the driver should set all elements invalid which have an invalid/unknown address. As far as I know this is not done in the drivers.

Re: S7+ Connection creation

I checked the structure of the _S7PlusConnection DP type and it should have an element called Config.Tspp.Mode in 3.18.
How did you do the migration from 3.17 to 3.18?

Re: OS Auth - "Unable to create user"

If you need further assistance please get in contact with your common WinCC OA support.
They can do detailed analysis on this issue.

Does it work when you start a UI on the Linux server and you try to logon with a new user?

Re: Installing new WinCC OA patch with Desktop UI

If the client is using a different patch than the server you will get a notification to download/install the newer patch when connecting to the server.

Re: Returned data in dpQueryConnect()

As I do now know which query string you are using I cannot tell you if there are other solutions. Doing a dpGet() in a work function for data which can be queried is not a proper way. Also you may get "wrong" values as the data can change between triggering the work function and calling th...

Re: Questions about -dbg ctrl_perf results

The information "dep" is the short form of "dependent".
It looks like you are using an older version as the output in 3.18 looks different.

Re: OS Auth - "Unable to create user"

Possibly the problem is that the Linux servers are not bound to the AD system. The user/password handling when creating a user is done in a CTRL script at the server. Therefore, the WinCC OA server must have access to the AD server. If you need further assistance please get in contact with your comm...
