Re: OPC UA SERVER PROBLEMS

According to the source code this log message is written if the datatype of the OPC item cannot be mapped to a WinCC OA datatype. The information "0" seems to be the datatype. If you want to have information for a log message please always copy the full content of the log message. Best Reg...

Re: Database has not been repaired - shutdown initiated

Please take into account that WinCC OA needs to be stopped properly before shutting down the computer. This needs to be done to ensure that the WinCC OA database and also other parts of the system do not get damaged. In a plant environment it is recommend to use a UPS. There is no guarantee that the...

Re: OPC-UA with S7-1500 & UDT

It looks like UDTs are not supported in OPC UA in WinCC OA. I could not find any reference to it.
Possibly you can use the S7+ driver. As far as I have seen this drivers supports the usage of UDTs.

Re: dpGet with dyn_string not working for configs

The return parameter of dpGet() only gives the information if the syntax was correct.
As you have detected on your own you have to use getLastError() to check if the command was successful or not.

Re: mobile ui

The settings for MxProxy must fit on the server and client. You can check if your are using a config and a config, webclient file and which settings you have made. If you need further assistance you can possibly get in contact with your common WinCC OA support. Best Regards Leopold Knipp Senior Suppo...

Re: Run map ewo on ITC client

I checked the content of the ITC package and it does not include the Maps EWO.
This might be the cause why it does not work.
Custom EWO's may also not work as they cannot be downloaded/installed at the ITC client.

Re: embedded DP types in queries

If 500 dp functions will create a significant load depends on the rate of value changes for the input parameters.
As long as the input DP elements are not set the Event Manager will not do any calculation of the DP functions.

Re: Remote UI client log file

As written in my previous post accessing the WinCC OA log files is not possible in an easy way. As far as I know you would need direct access to the file system which requires special permissions. I am pretty sure that setScaleStyle() will not return an error or a log entry if it does not work. Poss...

Re: Remote UI client log file

Currently there is no easy possibility to get the log files saved on an ITC client.
Why do you want to "download" the log files?
