How to set up WinCC OA for the connection with a PostgreSQL instance

  1. Start WinCC OA project with NGA
  2. Open the System Management > Database Engineering panel

  3. Set the database connection address:

  4. Set the user name and password:

  5. Specify the database name that you have previously configured in the Extended settings:

  6. Activate the connection:

  7. Done! Now archive your first datapoint(s)! Activate the archive group in the System Management > Runtime Engineering and add one (or all) DPEs to be archived:
